In Her ShadowSynopsis: Isabel’s life seemed perfect. Successful business, beautiful house, adoring husband. And then she was dead.

For four years Jessica has never doubted that her sister Isabel’s death was an accident. But when Jessica’s young daughter seems to know long-forgotten details about her aunt’s past, Jessica can’t shake the feeling that there’s a more sinister truth behind the tragedy.

As Jessica unearths disturbing revelations about her sister, and about the people she loved and trusted most, it becomes clear Isabel’s life was less than perfect and that Jessica’s might also be at risk.

Did someone murder Isabel? Are they now after Jessica and her family? The key seems to lie in the hands of a child. Can Isabel reveal the truth from beyond the grave, or is the answer closer to home?

Jessica’s sister, Izzy, was young and successful but was found dead 4 years ago after an accident. When Jessica’s 4 year old daughter, Olivia, starts relaying messages from her Aunty Izzy, stuff that she couldn’t possibly know, Jessica becomes spooked and starts questioning whether Izzy’s death was an accident after all.

This leaves Jessica with two things to deal with. Was her sister killed or was her death just an accident? And is her 4 year old daughter really talking to the ghost of her dead Aunty or is someone out to get them?

I finished this book in one day and I honestly couldn’t put it down. I can’t remember the last time I read a psychological thriller that had a paranormal aspect to it. Throughout this book, I had feelings of dread and apprehension because I didn’t know what was real and what wasn’t. I was continuously questioning whether Olivia was really talking to a ghost. Surely, she must be because how would she know everything she knows?

I did come up with a few theories while I was reading it and I’m SO pleased to say that all of them were wrong! I was not expecting the twists in this book and I loved every minute of reading it.

This book was an easy read, yet it covered so many topics such as: Family dynamics, grief, the paranormal, mental illness, infidelity, drug addition. The list goes on!
