The 20 Questions Book Tag

I was tagged by Joe – Storeys of Stories to do this tag. Thanks for the tag Joe! (Pss, I’ll try to be less quiet from now on haha).

So, let’s do this!

  1. How many books is too many books in a book series?

Ahhhhh this is a difficult one. I want to say no more than 5…. But Harry Potter had more than 5 so I don’t know where that leaves me!?!?!

  1. How do you feel about cliff-hangers?

If I can’t get straight on to the next book to find out what happens, I HATE them because I’m an impatient person.

  1. Hardback or paperback?

Paperback! I really don’t like hardbacks. I find them a bit of a nuisance. You can’t rest them on your legs without then stabbing into your skin. And don’t even get me started on dust covers..

  1. Favourite book?

Yep, not happening. I can’t possibly pick one book!

  1. Least favourite book?

Uncommon Type: Some StoriesAgain, this is difficult because I’ve read multiple books that were disappointing. The one that comes to mind is ‘Uncommon Types’ by Tom Hanks. I LOVE Tom Hanks so I was expecting big things….. and I hated it. I couldn’t even finish it ☹

  1. Love triangles, yes or no?

Hmmm, no. I don’t tend to pick up books because they have love triangles so I’m not that bothered about them.

  1. The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?

Moby-Dick Blues, TheThe Moby Dick Blues…… such a disappointment!

  1. A book you’re currently reading?

No Sad SongsNo More Sad Songs – Frank Morelli

  1. Last book you recommended to someone?

The Crucifix Killer (Robert Hunter, #1)The Crucifix Killer – Chris Carter. I recommended this to one of my friends as a good book to read on holiday….. I hope she isn’t too traumatised by all the gross murders haha.

  1. Oldest book you’ve read? (Publication date)

The Great Gatsby – still one of the best books I’ve ever read!

  1. Newest book you’ve read? (Publication date)

Paper Ghosts – Julia Haeberlin

  1. Favourite author?

There are so many authors that I love so it’s really hard to pick just one. Chris Carter is definitely up there though. So far every book of his has been 10/10.

  1. Buying books or borrowing books?

Nothing beats having a nice, shiny new book.

  1. A book you dislike that everyone else seems to love?

Twilight – I just don’t get the hype that it had. Sorry!

  1. Bookmarks or dog ears?

Okay.. confession time. I have SO many nice bookmarks. I use them for the first couple of chapters (maybe less) and then I always go back to using dog ears. It’s a bad habit of mine and I feel guilty for ruining my books by doing it!

  1. A book you can always re-read?

The Harry Potter series.

  1. Can you read while hearing music?

I can read with music in the background but I definitely won’t be listening to it. When I’m reading I kind of zone out. I can’t pay attention to anything other than my book when I’m reading.

  1. One POV or multiple POV’s? (POV = Point of view)

Multiple POV! I think it’s create to see another side of the story from a different perspective.

  1. Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?

Multiple days.. many even multiple months. I definitely don’t have the time to be finishing a book in one day!

  1. A book you’ve read because of the cover?

Rivers of London. Never has the saying ‘Never judge a book by its cover’ been more true…… it was SO boring.

I nominate:

Greyson Reads
Zuky the Book Bum
The Cozy Pages
Shanah – The Bionic Bookworm
Beware of the Reader

Guys, I know you’re all super busy so please don’t feel like you have to do this! It’s just a bit of bookish fun 😀

  1. Thank you for the tag. We’re very similar with answers! Definitely agree that about 5 books are too many, love paperbacks, don’t like love triangles, and I always dog-ear my books!! (unless borrowed from someone, then I will use a bookmark) 🙂
