Hey everyone! I hope you’ve all had a lovely Christmas!
Those of you who know Shanah (The Bionic Book Worm) will know that she’s taking a short break from blogging to spend some quality time with her family over Christmas which means that there is no Top 5 Tuesday today…….. Or is there!?
Joe (J.W.Martin aka Storey of Stories Blog contacted me last week and asked me to take part in a surprise for Shanah. So, as a thank you to her for all the hard work she puts into Top 5 Tuesday week in week out…. we’re bringing you our Top 5 ‘Top Tuesdays’!
Shanah, I honestly don’t know how on earth you manage to think of interesting topics each week, on top of your normal blogging, your jobs and your family duties. But I am so glad that you do! You’ve enhanced my blogging experience massively. You’ve created such a nice blogging community for us bookworms and we cannot thank you enough.
So… my Top 5 ‘Top Tuesdays’…. Here goes!
(FYI – I’ve linked you to Shanah’s posts because she lists all the participants within her post. So it makes it really easy for anyone who wants to have a quick look at all of our posts on that topic! Shanah, apologies in advance for the amount of Pingbacks you’re going to get from me!)
This was the first top 5 Tuesday I participated in! For some reason, I never felt confident enough to join in before, but as soon as the Halloween themes came up, I was so up for it and I’m so glad I decided to join in.
I loved this topic! It was reassuring to know that I’m not the only bookworm who does judge a book by it’s cover. Sometimes judging pays off…. But sometimes the book cover is better than the book itself.
This topic came up while I was still being shy and not taking part in Top 5 Tuesday. If you’re into Historical Fiction, you should take a look! I’m a massive history geek so I had a great time reading everyone’s posts. It’s always great seeing that other book bloggers love your favourite books!
For me, the reason I loved this topic was not so much book related…. It allowed me to get to know the people whose posts I look forward to a little bit better. There was a real sense of community with this post.
This was the first Top 5 Tuesday I came across and it was the first time I interacted with Shanah. I somehow stumbled across her blog and this post and I’m so glad I did. I’d recommend you go check Shanah’s out! Even though I read her post a while ago, I can still remember it quite vividly, mainly because of what she wrote about A Monster Calls. Go check it out!
So, that’s it! My Top 5 ‘Top Tuesdays’ so far! I cant wait to see what topics 2018 will bring us!
Before I go…. one last thing…..If you read our Top 5 Tuesday posts and want to take part….. please do! One of my regrets of 2017 is that I didn’t join in sooner. If you can’t do it every week, that’s fine. Just do it when you can. We’re a really friendly bunch and you’ll get to know some amazing people. Be warned though… your TBR list will increase drastically!
